The problem with traditional English tests

01

Written tests, not spoken proficiency

Grammar and vocabulary tests don't show how a student actually speaks.

02

No structured way to track progress

Improvement stays anecdotal, with nothing to compare from one assessment to the next.

03

Manual oral assessment doesn't scale

Testing spoken English one student at a time is slow across a full roster.

An adaptive spoken English assessment, built for the classroom

A conversation, not a script

Each question is generated in real time from what the student just said, so every assessment reflects real spoken ability, not memorized answers.

  • Real-time, adaptive questions
  • Reflects genuine level
  • No fixed script to prepare for

Built around your curriculum

Specify test topics that match your curriculum or class theme, and FluencyFlow's AI builds the rest of the conversation from there, no questions to write.

  • Curriculum-aligned topics
  • No question writing
  • Any teacher can launch one

Progress you can actually see

Run the same assessment across the term, and compare results side by side to see exactly how a student's spoken English is evolving.

  • Repeatable over time
  • Side-by-side comparison
  • Evidence for parents and reports

A calmer way to speak

A short warm-up before the parts that count, with clear instructions throughout, so students speak without the pressure of a live oral exam.

  • Warm-up before scoring
  • Lower speaking anxiety
  • Clear instructions throughout

Frequently asked questions

ABOUT FLUENCYFLOW

What is FluencyFlow?
FluencyFlow is an AI-powered spoken English assessment. It runs an adaptive conversation with the student and scores the result against CEFR, in minutes.
Who is FluencyFlow for?
Schools, language centers, and English teachers who want to assess and track their students' spoken English proficiency over time.
Which teaching contexts benefit most from FluencyFlow?
FluencyFlow works for any school, language center, or English program that wants a standardized way to assess and track spoken English, from a single class to an entire institution.

HOW IT WORKS

How does FluencyFlow work in a classroom setting?
Pick a topic that matches your curriculum, send the assessment link to your students, and the AI leads a conversation that adapts to what they say. You get a CEFR result and a full report in minutes.
Does FluencyFlow replace an oral exam?
It replaces the manual work of grading spoken English one student at a time. Teachers still decide how the result fits into their grading or curriculum.
How long does the assessment take?
Between 15 and 25 minutes on average. The length adapts to how much the student says: it's shorter if they give brief answers or struggle to understand the questions, and longer if they engage more with each one.
How often should we run the assessment?
As often as fits your assessment calendar. Many schools run it each term to track how a student's spoken English changes over time.
Can we customize the assessment for different classes or levels?
Yes. Specify topics for the class or curriculum unit, and FluencyFlow's AI builds the rest of the conversation from there, no questions to write.

TRUST AND ACCURACY

What does the CEFR result mean?
CEFR is the standard scale for describing English proficiency, from A1 to C2. FluencyFlow scores every conversation natively on this scale.
What does the full report show?
A breakdown of the student's pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and coherence, plus every word they used from B1 to C2 and a full transcript of the conversation.
Can we track a student's progress across multiple assessments?
Yes. Run the assessment again later in the term and compare results side by side to see how the student's spoken English has changed.
How does FluencyFlow handle different accents?
FluencyFlow measures how clear and natural someone's speech is, not whether it matches a specific accent. A regional or first-language accent doesn't lower the score as long as the student can be understood. The underlying voice technology is trained on a wide range of speakers, backgrounds, and proficiency levels, and supports both American and British English.

How is FluencyFlow priced?
